Cake n Eat it FC are set to to kick of their season tonight in the Warrant Street Division 2 league. Their first unlucky opponents will be local boys “Lip Sync United’. More like Lip Stink Utd!
Moral is high in the Cake camp after Chairmen, Jim Dowling, Chris Wood, and Mark Whelan formed the team straight after the recent board meeting. Players and fans alike are raring to go and all cannot wait for the kick off tonight @ 8.55pm.
Cake fan and new season ticket holder Nicola Rutledge commented : “ It’s about time we had a team to support and you know what?.... I think they can win it. I sure as hell will be rooting for them!”
This has been the positive attitude that has been buzzing around the company in recent weeks and fans can expect to see an exciting game tonight.
The lucky boys taking to the field tonight will be
Danny Babayemi, Nick Henderson, Will Parkinson, Steve Cater, James Duffy, and Liam Barnes.
With a couple of key players out including ex Derby hopeful Tim Whirledge, Cake are otherwise fielding a very strong team and should expect a positive result.
